What was the situation in which this photo was taken?

This photo was taken right after I had recoloured my hair and moustache back to my own colour, after a questionable attempt to become blonde.

Could you tell us something about what you do?

I am a Fashion Stylist & Creative director who also models and axts.

How did you first become interested in styling and creative direction?

I started my career in fashion as a model, and just one day decided I wanted to start styling, and the rest is history.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I love the fact that when I am working, I feel like I’m not working. I enjoy the creative process and collaborating with other creative individuals so much that it doesn’t even feel like work anymore. It’s fun. It’s a lifestyle.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’ve just completed a couple of editorials that I am waiting to come out. One was for a big client in China, and the other one is for a men’s publication in New York.

What are the challenges in what you do, and how do you overcome them?

I think the biggest challenge in my line of work is always the money, and to get paid for what you do, but when there is a will, there is a way. Rome wasn’t build in a day so I don’t quit when it’s tough either.

Could you describe your personal style?

Tom of Finland meets high fashion. They also call me Freddy after the one and only, iconic Freddy Mercury.

What is your present state of mind?

Calm before the storm. I’m about to head out for holidays and that’s going to be wild as always.

What music are you listening to at the moment?

From minimal techno to Ru Paul.

Which artists or designers inspire you?

There are too many to list. Anyone really who just do what they really want. Being authentic is great and it really shows.

What is the purpose of art, in your view?

I always try to showcase reality parallel to the fantasy, and create an adaptation of a real character. I find reality fascinating. Usually my work is a reflection of my personal life at the current moment and how I felt at that time.

How do you spend your free time?

I spend most of my free time at the gym and cooking. I love to cook. It’s my form of therapy.
